​We are excited to announce that we have approved match funding with the University of Surrey (School of Veterinary Medicine) for a three year fully funded PhD studentship. Recruitment for the position is underway and the project will commence immediately, once the successful applicant has been appointed. 
 
The project will use state of the art phenotypic and genotypic approaches to study the pathogenesis of CRGV (Alabama rot), a devastating disease of dogs caused by damage to blood vessels of the skin and kidney, ultimately resulting in kidney failure. 
 
The PhD student will be registered with the University of Surrey and based in the School of Veterinary Medicine with some of the studies undertaken at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Hampshire.

Unfortunately, we have to confirm a further nine cases of cutaneous renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV and sometimes known as Alabama Rot). The cases were from Paddock Wood (Kent), Croespenmaen (Gwent), Otley (W.Yorkshire), Seaham (County Durham), Lichfield, Budleigh Salterton and Newchurch (Staffordshire), Suckley (Worcestershire) and Lower Kingswood (Surrey).

Unfortunately, we have to confirm a further 3 cases of cutaneous renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV and sometimes known as Alabama Rot). The cases were from Bolton and Oldham (G. Manchester) and Bridgwater (Somerset).

Unfortunately, we have to confirm a further 4 cases of cutaneous renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV and sometimes known as Alabama Rot). The cases were from Ivybridge (Devon), Oakham (Rutland), Cookstown (County Tyrone) and Cheltenham (Gloucestershire).

Unfortunately, we have to confirm a further 2 cases of cutaneous renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV and sometimes known as Alabama Rot). The cases were from Wimbledon (Greater London) and Hawick (Roxburghshire).

Unfortunately, we have to confirm a further 5 cases of cutaneous renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV and sometimes known as Alabama Rot). The cases were from Wallingford (Oxfordshire), Horsham (West Sussex), Hungerford (Berkshire   2 dogs) and Malmesbury (Wiltshire).  
This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 198 since 2012, with 23 in 2019. 
 

Unfortunately, we have to confirm a further case of cutaneous renal glomerular vasculopathy (often termed CRGV and sometimes known as Alabama Rot).
​The case was from Southwater (West Sussex). This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 192 since 2012, with 17 in 2019.
