We are excited to announce that we have approved match funding with the University of Surrey (School of Veterinary Medicine) for a three year fully funded PhD studentship. Recruitment for the position is underway and the project will commence immediately, once the successful applicant has been appointed.
The project will use state of the art phenotypic and genotypic approaches to study the pathogenesis of CRGV (Alabama rot), a devastating disease of dogs caused by damage to blood vessels of the skin and kidney, ultimately resulting in kidney failure. The PhD student will be registered with the University of Surrey and based in the School of Veterinary Medicine with some of the studies undertaken at Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists in Hampshire.
